went surfing off da nang in the storm swell that came from that hurricane that did in hong kong last year.
by brave i mean completely braindead moronic. didn't catch a single wave and had to drag myself back into shore using the wire rope that marked out the edge of the fishing area. simultanesouly saved my life while slicing me to pieces.
couple of days later was a lovely offshore 4ft with ages between sets. rented a longboard and had a lovely time.

Tried to get the knife off someone who pulled one on me.
Did almost everything right - stepped inside his knife arm, grabbed his wrist, turned and fell on top of him, was getting the knife out of his grasp...
... my big mistake was doing all this near something big and heavy which he picked up with his left hand and slammed into my head.
Woke up in an ambulance.
Despite appearances, there may have been some luck in this. My next action after getting the knife was going to be to stick it in him. Repeatedly.
Could have spent an age banged up for a murder.
